On the back of Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday, of course Gary Lineker had to comment about it, didn’t he?
The Reds crashed out of the FA Cup at the fifth-round stage after being well beaten at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Willian and Ross Barkley either side of half-time sent the Reds packing from the domestic cup competition for another season.
Will Liverpool get back to winning ways against Bournemouth?
Yes
No
BBC presenter Gary Lineker took to Twitter (via @garylineker) to jokingly question whether or not Jurgen Klopp’s job should be on the line due to the Reds’ recent poor form. They have lost three games out of their last four in all competitions and now have just the Premier League and the Champions League to play for.
As a result, supporters were not impressed with Lineker’s trolling and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was a complete “tool” for making such a suggestion, while another bluntly described him as a “clown”.
