Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has made three changes to the side which were dumped out of the FA Cup by Arsenal last weekend.
The headline one is the return of Glen Johnson after a month out. The England international full-back replaces Aly Cissokho.
Brad Jones and Joe Allen are the other men to miss out as Simon Mignolet and Jordan Henderson return.
For the visitors, who impressed against Rafa Benitez’s Napoli in the Europa League during midweek, ex-Red Jonjo Shelvey starts while David N’Gog is amongst the substitutes.
Kick-off is at 1.30pm GMT.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Flanagan, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge.
