Liverpool show interest in French striker

|

Liverpool is actively looking to future-proof their side and makes a few smart additions to their squad. Amidst being linked to Jude Bellingham, they have recently been linked to French striker Randal Kolo Muani.

According to Foot Mercato, the Eintracht Frankfurt forward is currently valued at £26 million, and he is being tracked by two English clubs, namely Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs, and by Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

The striker is currently away on international duty representing his nation, France at the Qatar World Cup. France will take on Argentina in the semi-final of the world cup. It is believed that Jurgen Klopp is impressed by the striker’s versatility and ability to improve those around him and make others shine. This is something that is highly valued by Liverpool coach Klopp.

Kolo Muani has been terrorizing the Bundesliga defences throughout the season. His exceptional form has seen him score a total of 19 goals in just 23 appearances this season. For France, he has made just one appearance but has not registered any sort of goal contribution. He played 90 minutes in the dead rubber group game against Tunisia where he ended up on the losing side.

Liverpool is known to be looking for a midfielder or two, and hence adding a striker seems unlikely. However, we are aware that Klopp pushes for the players that he wants at Anfield.
