Liverpool to beat Real Madrid to £200million midfield duo

|

Liverpool are set to beat Real Madrid to the signings of Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez according to the latest reports from The Daily Mail.

The Reds have been on a hot pursuit of a young world class midfielder for, but reports are now suggesting they are set to break the club’s transfer record not once, but twice.

As it stands, Liverpool are reportedly leading the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea in the race to sign the two wonderkids, despite currently only sitting 6th in the Premier League table at the minute.

These heavy links are still held high despite the current ongoing ownership issues at the club, which is perhaps the biggest surprise behind these rumours.

The rumoured fee for the duo is expected to be around £100million for each of the players, which is simply outrageous to think of.

After selling Darwin Nunez to Liverpool for £85million just last summer, Benfica are set to make another huge profit this time on Fernandez after only buying the midfielder for around £8million last summer.

Whilst Borussia Dortmund are expected to command at least a fee of around £100million for Jude Bellingham, who has come out of the World Cup as one of the best players on the planet and is still only 19-years-old.

The combined age of the duo is just 40-years-old, which is a crazy thought considering James Milner who has appeared in nearly ever game so far this season is 37-years-old.
