Liverpool has a number of players who are out due to injury. That being said, there is some good news for Jurgen Klopp as captain, Jordan Henderson is back and fit to feature ahead of time. Southgate had not added the name of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson to his 28-man squad list for the trip to Milan for the away game against Italy and the clash at Wembley against Germany.
Henderson suffered a hamstring injury which has seen him sidelined for the last few weeks. Henderson damaged his hamstring during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory against Newcastle on 31st August. However, after rigorous and diligent hard work with physios and a bunch of individual sessions, Henderson has been deemed fit and called up to join Gareth Southgate’s England squad. This has been confirmed on Twitter by journalist Paul Joyce (@_pauljoyce).

Even though Klopp might be a tad bit weary regarding Henderson’s inclusion right after an injury, Henderson will be hoping to make an impact and stay in contention to be selected for the World Cup later this year. The availability of Henderson reduces the selection headache for Southgate after Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips withdrew due to injury.
He will join Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold for the upcoming international games against Italy and Germany. Henderson was included in the England squad after he came through individual training sessions without any worry, which was conducted over the weekend.
Henderson will also be fit enough to play for Liverpool when they return to action in the Premier League on 1st October to take on Brighton Hove Albion.
