Moises Caicedo lifts the lid on transfer speculation

|

Liverpool midfield target Moises Caicedo has spoken to Brighton’s official website about the transfer rumours surrounding his departure. He has been linked to joining Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea in this January transfer window.

According to football journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool does not see value in Brighton’s current £75 million-plus price tag for Caicedo. As a result, he is considered too expensive to bring in.

While speaking to the official Brighton Hove Albion Website, “I am focussed on Brighton. I am here. I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here. I handle the speculation well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to focus on the club where I am now, the club that opened the doors for me to play every week.”

You can read his entire interview on the Brighton Hove Albion official website.

Liverpool rivals Chelsea saw a massive bid in the region of £55 million rejected with disdain. However, given that Caicedo has changed his agent and picked Futbol Division, it could be because he is looking to switch clubs. Brighton has stated that they want to keep him, but Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are well-informed and aware of his situation.

Italian football journalist Rudy Galetti has spoken regarding Liverpool’s interest to GiveMeSport. He said, “It’s hard to say with certainty right now. Klopp, for sure, has asked for a central midfielder. To date, Moises Caicedo is one of the names Liverpool is monitoring with attention, but Brighton has no plans to sell him.”

This is a transfer saga that might not end anytime soon. Do let us know, in the comments section below, where you think he will play his football in the near future.
