Liverpool fans will certainly have a smirk on their face seeing Manchester united have all sorts of troubles. First their overall position over the last few years and now one of their very own legends dragging the club through the mud in the most prolific of manners possible.

Ronaldo is surely towards the twilight of his career. He is finding it hard to deal with the fact that he is aging. He is a declining striker who has scored just one league goal this season. He goes home early from training, refuses to play when called upon as a substitute, and has an incredibly large and fragile ego. He suddenly has issues with everything and everyone at Manchester United. The funny thing about these problems is that they crept up only after he started getting benched by Erik Ten Hag.

The complaints in his interview with Piers Morgan regarding no infrastructural development at Carrington, the same gym facilities, and the same kitchen chefs, and the fact that the younger players are entitled all came to light only recently when he was asked to fight for his spot.

The thing that Ronaldo is missing out on is that the club will live on longer than him. He is not the same player he was in 2009. Manchester United is pondering the thought of canceling his contract and throwing him out. This fact might be good for Manchester United. They certainly win more games with him not playing than when he does.

With this sort of behavior, it might be very difficult for Ronaldo to find an elite European football club that wants to employ him. He has now shown that if he is not given preferential treatment, he will happily go and publicly shame his employers and defame his coaches and teammates.

Has Ronaldo become too big an ego to play football anymore? Or is he taking aging difficult?
