Liverpool’s midfield has been the main area of concern. The midfielders are either injured or old and unable to play at a high intensity. This has left Jurgen Klopp with a huge selection headache before each game.

The Liverpool fan base is known to be slightly reactionary. Every football fan is at some point in time. However, rumours of Liverpool being interested in Declan Rice have been doing the rounds. That being said, many believe that Fabinho’s time at the club seems to be coming to an end. This judgment comes after he has had an underwhelming season for Liverpool.

According to Neil Jones, Liverpool correspondent for Goal, who did an interview with The Redmen TV, “I think it you would need to lose Fabinho if Declan Rice came. He’s going to be anywhere upwards of £70 million.” However, on his day, Fabinho is one of the world’s best in his position.

Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice have formed a functional and formidable pairing for England at the World Cup in Qatar. The amount of versatility this pair will bring for Liverpool, both, going forward and at the back is something that will certainly help the Reds.

What are your thoughts about selling Fabinho and getting Rice in his place? Or do you believe with new ownership on the horizon, Liverpool should break the bank and hold onto both players for better depth? The Reds are also linked to Brighton’s Moisés Caicedo. It is almost sure that Liverpool will end up adding to their roster in January, but who will it be?
