QUIZ: Liverpool players’ World Cup so far…

|

Seven Liverpool players travelled to Qatar to take part in the 2022 World Cup, but some have had a more memorable time at the tournament than others.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson representing England, Virgil Van Dijk for the Netherlands, Darwin Nunez for Uruguay, Ibrahima Konate for France and Alisson and Fabinho for Brazil.

Only Darwin Nunez has failed to reach the Quarter Final stage, with Uruguay and former Red Luis Suarez, crashing out in the Group Stage while Portugal and South Korea progressed.

The other six all remain in the tournament, with the some really promising performances being put in by the lads.

However, that number will shrink as England face France in the Quarter Final with Henderson and Alexander-Arnold facing off with Ibou Konate.

Virgil Van Dijk and the Netherlands face the challenge of defeating Lionel Messi and Argentina, whilst Alisson and Fabinho will face Luka Modric and former Red, Dejan Lovren, and Croatia in the last eight.

Hopefully this tournament will be one worth remembering as these Liverpool stars continue to fight it out for the biggest trophy in sports.
