Lots of Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media following reports by The Telegraph claiming Everton, Leicester, Brighton and Burnley are all interested in signing Adam Lallana.

Lallana is due to be a free agent at the close of Liverpool’s title-winning Premier League season having only agreed a short-term extension that covered the fixtures postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The £110,000-per-week midfielder will leave Anfield as a Champions League winner following the Reds’ success in 2019, though Lallana’s only involvement outside a three-minute cameo in the Round of 16 came during the Group Stage.

Lallana suffered injuries throughout the 2018/19 season and faced a wait until November’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa before he was awarded his first start of the 19/20 Premier League campaign.

In total, the 32-year-old has gone on to start seven games all season over 22 outings, scoring once and assisting twice though all coming before the turn of the year, while failing to feature at all since the resumption of the league season.

Lallana could be offered various escapes routes once he becomes a free agent with Everton, Leicester, Brighton and Burnley all named as potential suitors.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is believed to be scouring the market for upcoming free agents that could move to Turf Moor, where his Clarets side look set to secure a mid-table finish this term and come close to landing one of the Europa League qualifying places.

Lallana’s admiration at Leicester comes through his prior-connections with Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers from his time at Anfield, during which the midfielder left Southampton for £25million and made 48 appearances across all competitions.

Everton, meanwhile, are considering Lallana with Carlo Ancelotti keen to improve his midfield while Brighton boss Graham Potter is known to be an admirer of the central midfielder’s talents.

Not many Liverpool fans believe Lallana will favour a move to any of the four sides linked, though some can see the positives in choosing to join Burnley.

Swarms of Liverpool fans have gained a lot of respect for Lallana for what he has achieved during what have been six injury-plagued years at Anfield, and would not be against seeing the midfielder join city rivals Everton if that were his choice of clubs.
