The transfer window rumour mill has well and truly taken flight, with Liverpool seeming to be linked with just about every top European talent at the moment.

This is largely down to the club’s talisman Sadio Mane searching for an Anfield exit and nearing a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Nevertheless, with the Merseyside clubs pulling power at an all-time high, there are plenty of options on the market to replace the outgoing Sengalese star.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are entertaining the idea of bringing Leeds United’s main man Raphinha to the club after the winger has made waves in the Premier League over the past few seasons.

However, Liverpool will face stiff competition from Barcelona for the Brazilian’s signature, with the Spanish giants wanting the winger to be part of Xavi’s revolution at the Camp Nou.

Nevertheless, Jurgen Klopp and FSG may have a trick up their sleeve to trump Barcelona’s move for the 25-year-old in the form of current out of favour forward Takumi Minamino.

This would see the Japan international move to Elland Road as part of a swap deal for Raphinha; a switch which reports suggest Leeds boss Jesse Marsch would prefer over a Barcelona deal.

This deal makes perfect sense, although, there has been little to no buzz around the club about this being something that is actually concrete information.

Transfermarkt rate Raphinha’s value at £42 million; he appeared 36 times for Leeds in all competitions this season, scoring eleven and assisting three along the way.
