Loads of Liverpool fans were overjoyed with the news that captain Jordan Henderson has returned to first-team training after a short spell out with injury.
The Athletic’s James Pearce broke the news on Twitter (via @JamesPearceLFC) that the 29-year-old is edging closer to a return to the side after the Reds have gone through a difficult run.
Following the 2-1 victory against Bournemouth on Saturday, Liverpool have lost three out of their last five games in all competitions since Henderson limped off during their 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League with a hamstring injury. The Kop faithful were pleading for his return after his absence was dearly felt as they began to grow concerned about their form.
