I think this deal seems reasonable on the face of it, now it’s just a case of working out how much the ancillary details are holding it up.

I’m talking of course about the potential departure of Harry Wilson before the end of the window today. I said over the weekend that I felt we needed to be a little more lenient when it came to our evaluation of him, and that asking for too much and potentially being greedy might end up costing us when we really didn’t have to.

Now though, it appears as if we’re not the ones that is holding business up. According to a report from journalist Alan Nixon, it’s Burnley holding up the deal on their end that is stopping him from making the move up the across Lancashire to Turf Moor:

Is Burnley the right club for Harry Wilson?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Hopefully though this amount will be enough to suit some other team and convince them to try and make an offer for them. Given his lack of action for us, it’s obvious that he doesn’t have a future here, so the quicker we can get him off the books and get some money in the bank for him, the better.

What about you? What do you make of this news regarding Wilson?
