With Liverpool set to return to Champions League action tonight with their second-leg Round of 16 tie against German outfit RB Leipzig, the Reds will be hoping to progress to the next stages of the competition and have a good head start with a 2-0 lead on aggregate.

Despite the clubs poor form in the Premier League, they have been impressive in the European competition so far this campaign with 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss from 7 games so far, conceding just three goals. This is form that they will be looking to build on tonight and will be wary of the threat that Leipzig can still pose.

However, one Leipzig player in the form of Spanish left-back Angeliño, has stated that Mo Salah and Sadio Mané will pose a huge threat to the German club after describing the pair as ‘amazing players’ after the pair gave the defender the runaround during the first-leg tie in Budapest, as cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter…

It clearly shows a great amount of respect on Angeloño’s behalf that he is talking about the pair in such high estime, especially given how good we know they are as Liverpool fans but to be able to see other professionals recognise that just gives you a great sense of pride of the quality of players we have in our squad.

The game tonight will be a tough compeition and given that the Spaniard and the rest of his side know the threat that we can pose clearly shows that they are up for the second leg and the Reds will have to go into the game and forget about their 2-0 lead on aggregate – just go into the game with a clean slate and do everything you can to win the game.
