The teenager had a host of clubs from around Europe who were interested in capturing his sought-after signature, however, the chance to play at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp proved to be the deal maker for the young Scot.

Ramsay would become Liverpool’s second signing of the summer; he will join fellow young talent Fabio Carvalho in joining the Merseyside club for the 2022/2023 campaign.

Jurgen Klopp is clearly focusing on the next generation of talent at Liverpool and Ramsay undoubtedly fits the mould for the type of player who can flourish in the Reds playing style and system.

He certainly has a bright future in football and the reported £4 million Liverpool are paying for him could prove to be yet another bit of savvy business from the Anfield hierarchy.

The 18-year-old’s move to England will likely see the exit of the club’s current backup right-back Neco Williams; reports suggest Liverpool have placed a £15 million price tag on the Welshman.
