Arsenal and England international starlet Bukayo Saka is one of the Premier League’s brightest prospects and the type of talent who could flourish under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance.

Liverpool have reportedly been admirers of Saka for some time and are eagerly awaiting to see how his current contract negotiations play out with Arsenal.

Making a move for the 20-year-old this summer is a stretch, however, Saka’s current contract only keeps him at the Emirates until 2024; a big-money move after next season would be inevitable if Arsenal fail to capture Champions League football, again.

The Daily Mail claims that Liverpool will battle it out with Manchester City next summer to acquire one of world football’s hottest properties in Saka.

A move from Arsenal to Anfield for Saka next summer makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

Mohamed Salah contract negotiations continue to drag on and the prospect of him leaving Liverpool for free after next season is becoming more and more real by the day.

This would open the door for Liverpool to look for a replacement for Salah; Saka provides a like for like replacement in attack for the Egyptian.

Nevertheless, Saka, a product of Arsenal’s renowned youth system holds his boyhood club in high regard, and tempting him away from London will be a tough ask.

Although, it’s definitely a situation that remains unsolved and if Arsenal fail to provide Saka with the European football he craves, Liverpool would be foolish not to take advantage and make a move for their talisman.
