Chelsea target Josko Gvardiol names Liverpool as his ‘dream club’

|

Chelsea’s long term transfer target has named Liverpool as his ‘dream club’ as transfer speculation surrounding the defender continues to increase.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has struggled defensively this season, especially compared to previous seasons and this news could open up a path to securing a top talent.

Reliable journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has revealed that the Croatian has labelled the Reds as his dream club, largely due to memories with his father when growing up.

Premier League rivals, Chelsea, have been hugely interested in the 20-year-old for  a couple of years now but have yet been able to secure the youngster’s signature.

A move for the RB Leipzig defender would cost at least £100million, which would unfortunately favour Chelsea who are much more willing to splash the cash in recent windows compared to the Reds.

With Gvardiol’s contract not set to expire until June 2027, a move either this window or in the summer would certainly be a difficult one.

Liverpool have already reportedly made Jude Bellingham their top transfer target for the summer, which will cost at least £100million as well.

It’s hard to see us making a move for both Gvardiol and Bellingham in the same window, despite the obvious need for reinforcements both in defense and midfield.
