Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren were like two sides of the same coin when they were teammates at Liverpool. That fact has not changed much even after Lovren moved on and left Liverpool. Their bromance continues to date.

The two are still in touch via social media and keep pulling each other’s legs. The latest is that Lovren claims Mohamed Salah is “jealous” of him. He jokingly mentioned this because Croatia has qualified for the Qatar World Cup while Egypt has not.

Lovren will be one of the first names on the team sheet for Croatia. He is one of their most experienced players and most seasoned central defender.

Liverpool fans will miss watching Salah on their television screens for the next six weeks. This is the reason that Lovren jokingly mentioned that his former teammate is envious of him.

There was no malice in his words. Lovren appears to be having some fun and made this comment in jest. Salah in return has shown support to Lovren and his other Liverpool teammates and ex-Reds who are competing in Qatar for the most coveted of football trophies, the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Croatia starts its World Cup campaign against Morocco. The other two teams in Group F are Canada and Belgium. Croatia ended up being the runner’s up last World Cup and will be pushing and hoping that they can go one better this time around. It will not be easy, but the Croats have massive talent all over the football pitch.

How far do you think Croatia will end up going in the 2022 FIFA World Cup?
