With Liverpool’s current form a world away from the standards and quality that we have seen over the last few years, there has been growing speculation over current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s future for some strange reason.
Despite the recent poor form and the Reds struggling for results, there is no better person to be in charge of the club than Klopp given what he has achieved and his quality as a manager – the squad is simply going through a rough patch and they will get out of this rut soon enough.

However, there has still been that speculation lingering over whether Klopp will leave at the end of the season with calls for one manager in particular to replace him, and that is former Liverpool player and club legend Steven Gerrard. The calls come after Gerrard’s success at Rangers where he and the Scottish club just won the league title for the first time since their insolvency in 2012 which saw them relegated to the fourth tier of Scottish football.
During an interview with ITV after their title victory, Gerrard was poised with the question of whether he will join Liverpool as manager at the end of the season and his response was golden, as cited by AnfieldWatch below…

One thing we have to remember is that Gerrard is also a Liverpool fan and he isn’t wrong when he says that we want Jurgen Klopp managing the club.
There is no better person to be in charge than Klopp right now and I think there is still plenty more to come from the German and the Reds – there is already a ridiculous amount of quality in the squad and that will only get better with him in charge.
It would be amazing to see Gerrard take charge of the club one day which he clearly agrees, but like he says, not just yet.
