Liverpool managed to bring in some new additions on the last day of the January transfer window with the additions of Ben Davies on a permanent deal from Preston North End, as well as Ozan Kabak on an initial six-month loan from Schalke 04, with an option to buy in the summer for just £18 million.

Did Liverpool have a successful January window?

Both players are yet to make their debuts for the Reds with most fans expecting either of them to feature against Manchester City on Sunday – sadly for the Reds faithful, we are still waiting to get a glimpse of the pair in action.

According to The Athletic’s James Pearce, he expects at least Turkish international Ozan Kabak to make his debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side against Leicester City on Saturday in the latest edition of The Red Agenda podcast which you can find below…

I personally think that Kabak should start on Saturday as it would finally allow Jordan Henderson to return to midfield as well s Brazilian Fabinho who has become a makeshift centre-back for the Reds to accommodate for our injuries at the back.

If I were to choose the starting XI for the Reds against the Foxes this weekend I would start Kabak alongside Nat Phillips who has been massively impressive when featuring this season and I think he and Kabak could form a great partnership for the remainder of the season.

This will allow the Reds to return to their strongest midfield three of Fabinho, Henderson, and a choice between some fantastic players such as Gini Wijnaldum, Thiago, Curtis Jones, etc. Having both Fabinho and Henderson back in the midfield will be a gamechanger for the squad and our style of play which has been hampered this campaign.

What do you think Liverpool fans, will Kabak make his debut this weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
