Liverpool has been advised to consider signing Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri as a potential replacement for Roberto Firmino. En-Nesyri is known for his “intense” style and could be a good fit for Liverpool and manager Jürgen Klopp. The 25-year-old has impressed with his performances at the World Cup and for his club team, Sevilla, scoring a hat-trick in the Copa del Rey and averaging 0.58 goals per 90 minutes this season.

Firmino is expected to leave Liverpool, with Barcelona and Al Nassr keen to get his signature. Both clubs have reportedly made moves, given that he is in the last six months of his current Liverpool contract. Liverpool did offer a new contract, but talks seem to have stalled between the player and the club.

En-Nesyri’s contract with Sevilla expires in 2025. He will be entering the final two years of his deal in the summer, making it an ideal time for Liverpool to consider making a move for him. While he may not be the glamorous signing that fans desire, En-Nesyri could offer Klopp a relatively cheap option and play a competent backup role behind Liverpool’s more established players.

In addition to his goal-scoring abilities, En-Nesyri has also shown that he can be a dangerous forward, well-suited to a team like Liverpool. At the World Cup, he played at the tip of Morocco’s attack, constantly running in behind the opposition’s defense and harassing his opponents in defensive transitions.

En-Nesyri has had some injuries in recent seasons, but he seems to be getting back to his best. If Liverpool is serious about replacing Firmino, En-Nesyri could be a player worth considering. He could offer the club a long-term successor to Firmino while providing depth to the team’s attack.

In an exclusive interview with Liverpool.com, his teammate and former Liverpool player, Nabil El Zhar mentioned that he would be a great fit for Liverpool and Klopp. He went on to say, “You also have Youssef En-Nesyri. He is an outstanding player. Unfortunately, he caught Covid just before the African Cup of Nations, and he struggled with injuries, but he is a very, very good player. He is a player who could do very well at Liverpool. He is quick. He runs a lot, has a high-speed intensity, presses the ball, and always moves on the pitch. He is an exciting player. “He is a perfect guy, too. When he came to Leganés, he was like a kid, always listening to advice. He is a quiet guy who respects everyone and is a great professional.”
