Liverpool have confirmed the decision to recall Owen Beck from his loan spell at League One side, Bolton Wanderers.

The club confirmed the decision onĀ Liverpool FC’s Official Site.

It is expected that the decision was made based on the lack of playing time that the 20-year-old had managed to receive whilst at the Macron Stadium.

The left-back made two senior appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team last season but has failed to kick on during the loan spell.

The youngster will now join back up with Liverpool’s Under-21 side for the rest of the season most likely, unless another loan move at a club where he will get more game-time can be arranged.

Beck only made nine appearances in all competitions, with the club currently sat 5th in the League One table as they continue to push for promotion.

Fellow Liverpool loanee, Conor Bradley, has played a huge role in Bolton’s push for promotion, making 26 appearances at full-back as well as scoring four goals and assisting another four.

The Reds have a recalled a large number of young players already this season, but no particular reason has been given on any occasion.

Billy Koumetio, Rhys Williams, Max Woltman, James Balagizi and Fidel O’Rourke have all already been recalled from their own loan spells away from Merseyside.
