Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is in the middle of one of its best patches in the last decade. They are at the top of the table right now and are using their position smartly by making moves for highly rated players sought after by rivals. For example, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in Moises Caicedo, but out of nowhere, Arsenal has made an official bid for the Liverpool target.
That being said, Brighton received a bid in the region of £60 million for midfielder Caicedo from Arsenal. According to Fabrizio Romano, this came to them after they rejected an offer of £55 million from Chelsea.

The Gunners, have an interest in the 21-year-old midfielder and believe their position in the table could help turn his head. Liverpool is yet to make a formal approach for the midfielder, and it does seem that they will miss out on him.
However, Brighton has rejected Arsenal’s bid of £60 million and slapped a price tag of £100 million on their star midfielder. Brighton has made it clear that they are looking to fight hard to keep their midfielder and ensure that they can extract as much as possible. None of the clubs involved are looking for a bidding war, so there is no way for us to understand where this goes.
De Zerbi on the bid from Arsenal, “He is only focused on Brighton. I understand he has the chance to go to a very big team, but I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season. My opinion is that is the best solution for him and us”.
