Liverpool forward linked with free transfer to Inter Milan

Liverpool forward, Roberto Firmino, could leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer, with Inter Milan linked with a move.

Reports claim there is a ‘very good chance’ the Brazilian will decide to leave Liverpool when his current contract expires at the end of June, with contract talks seemingly coming to a halt.

Liverpool’s number nine has been sidelined with an injury since late October, but found himself in a rich vein of form beforehand.

The 31-year-old has scored nine goals and assisted four in twenty-one appearances in Red this season, including seven goals and three assists in thirteen Premier League games.

Firmino has also proven his worth over more than seven years at the club, scoring 107 goals and assisting 78 in 348 appearances under Jurgen Klopp.

I have no doubt that Klopp would prefer to have Firmino in his squad for the next couple of years, but perhaps the Brazilian and the club have different opinions on the contract he deserves.

There has been strong links between the Reds and Juventus’ Federico Chiesa, which I could only see happening should Firmino or Salah leave in the summer.

Otherwise we would to pick just three from Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Roberto Firmino and Federico Chiesa.

You could even add Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott into that with many thinking they perform better as wingers.
