Liverpool have reportedly decided to target two midfielders in the summer, which will cost them around £200million.

This is according to the reliable Liverpool journalist, Paul Joyce of The Times– who is always spot on when it comes to news surround Liverpool and Everton.

Joyce, who broke the new of Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, is reporting that the Reds will make a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and Wolves’ Matheus Nunes in the summer.

Liverpool have been heavily linked and interested in both of the players for over a year now, but have never managed to get a deal across the line.

Nunes came close to securing a move to Anfield last summer, but instead Wolves acted quicker to secure his signature.

This won’t stop Liverpool reigniting their interest in the Portuguese midfielder in 2023, with a fee of £50million being expected to complete the move.

Liverpool’s position regarding Jude Bellingham is still the same, they believe to be leading the race and are confident they can get the deal done in the summer.

That move will cost the Reds around £120million, leaving the fees for the two players standing at around £200million with agent fees added on.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in desperate need of a new midfield and I believe both Nunes and Bellingham could completely transform this Liverpool side.
