This summer could see a huge overall in the Liverpool squad with plenty of fringe players set to be cut from the club with the hopes of building better quality in-depth and a strong bench to compete with the likes of Manchester City next season.

Jurgen Klopp has made it pretty clear to those watching who is in favour at the club and who is not with plenty of the same players being selected and the same names often finding themselves sat on the bench or not in the matchday squad each week.

According to Freelance football journalist David Lynch during an exclusive interview with Anfield Watch, the likes of Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri will both definitely be on the market again this summer, with him also wondering whether the club may consider allowing midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave the club if the right offer comes in…

I think that the departures of Origi and Shaqiri are all but guaranteed with the pair failing to really cement a place in the starting XI or even try to convince the management that they deserve to be apart of the Reds squad.

In regards to Oxlade-Chamberlain, I think it would be a big shame to see him leave the club given the recent circumstances and his time at the club. The Ox has shown glimpses of his ability and what he can bring to the club since moving here from Arsenal but his time at Anfield has been plagued by two lengthy injuries that have halted his progress.

Will Klopp improve the Liverpool squad this summer?

If the trio were to be sold in the summer it would no doubt provide the club with some healthy finances towards future transfers but only time will tell in regards to the ingoings and outgoings of this summer.
