It appears that each week we discuss how bad Liverpool have been this season and rightly so – when we are flying high and winning as dominantly as we have done over recent years we cheer and applaud, and with the recent form far from its best, it is only right that we feel frustrated.
However, that doesn’t mean that we completely forget about what this squad is capable of and what we have achieved over the last few seasons winning the Champions League and Premier League in back-to-back seasons.
One thing that has dominated opinion and headlines during this slump in results has been over Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s future at the club, with plenty of rumours circulating about him being sacked or leaving the club – and despite these rumours, the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group remain steadfastly behind the German, stating that his position isn’t up for debate according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, as cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter…

It doesn’t really come as a surprise to me personally that our owners are standing behind Klopp given everything he has done for the club since joining in 2016, with us finally returning to trophy-winning ways including our first-ever Premier League title.

FSG knows the importance of Klopp to this club and to sack him would honestly be the worst footballing decision during their time as owners in my opinion. There isn’t a single manager in the world that is on Klopp’s level that would be available right now or even in the near future, so sacking him would be a disastrous mistake to make.
Thankfully for the Liverpool faithful FSG understand that and hopefully, Klopp and the squad will be able to turn things around soon to silence the ridiculous rumours.
