Liverpool youngster joins Bristol Rovers on loan

Liverpool youngster, Jarrell Quansah, has joined Bristol Rovers on loan until the end of the season, the club has confirmed.

Quansah is the current Under-19 UEFA Youth League captain and has been at the club since he was five years old.

The centre-back has been named amongst the substitutes for the first-team on three occasions, showing that Jurgen Klopp clearly sees a lot of potential in him

The 19-year-old signed his first professional deal at the club in February 2021, and has since went on to represent England’s Under-19 squad and starred in their European Championship success last year.

Quansah will work under Joey Barton at Bristol Rovers, who currently are sat 9th in the EFL League One just three points off Bolton Wanderers who are currently sat in the play-off spots in 6th place.

The youngster will hope to play a big role in Barton’s side as they continue to look to defy the odds and reach the play-offs in a race against the likes of Peterborough United, Wycombe Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers.

Since Billy Koumetio was recalled from Austria Vienna earlier in the window, it is expected that he will take Quansah’s place in the Under-19 squad and the Under-21 set up as well.
