In light of Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Wolves on Sunday, plenty of reaction has come out surrounding the club’s form so far this season despite the many injury setbacks that have plagued the squad.

One of those reactions comes in the form of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, who says that the Reds thoroughly deserve to win the Premier League again this season and has backed them to do so come the end of the current campaign.

Scholes made his comments during the match reaction after the win on Amazon Prime Sport – with the club making a strong start to the Premier League campaign this season despite missing both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the majority of it.

It is always bittersweet to hear former Manchester United players admit that the Reds have become the team that they have and it is no doubt a great compliment. Despite the rivalry, there is no denying the talent and consistency that United had throughout the years and to hear one of the key players from that period compliment Jurgen Klopp’s side in such a way is nothing but positive.

Scholes admitted defeat, saying “I won’t say I hope they win it again for their fans, but I think they are well on their way to doing that anyway”.

The Reds currently sit joint-first in the Premier League table alongside Tottenham on 24 points after the first 11 games, with Jose Mourinho’s side just edging it on goal difference which I think is great going considering the absences that we have already experienced and the ones that will continue.

I definitely think we will win the league again this season and hopefully this time, there will be a stadium full of Kopites to enjoy it.
