Another day means another transfer link for the Reds and this time it comes in the form of a 16-year-old Crystal Palace academy player named Zion Atta.

The young winger joined the club when he was 13 with the Eagles paying £60,000 for the player from Milwall’s youth academy.

The youngster has impressed for the Eagles’ youth setup and has attracted interest from all over Europe with clubs such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus, and Inter Milan all showing interest in the player as shown by the Twitter account Palace Xtra, but Crystal Palace managed to fend off any interest, for now…

Having secured Atta on a scholarship contract this summer, Crystal Palace have managed to keep hold of the teenager for now, but with the demand for homegrown talent as evident as ever, Liverpool will no doubt keep the flame burning in terms of their interest in the young winger.

Atta has featured for England’s U16’s side as of late, with his potential also being highlighted by his involvement in training with the older age groups, having trained with Palace’s U18’s whilst under the age of 16 himself.

Despite Palace managing to secure the youngster, for now, Liverpool’s interest will reportedly not be swayed that easily, with the Reds keeping tabs on the wonderkid with hopes of securing his signature in the near future.

I think the youngster would be a great addition to Liverpool’s youth, especially given the already gleaming talent at the club’s disposal with youngsters such as Harvey Elliott – Atta would be another highly-rated young player that Liverpool have managed to attract, which just shows the pedigree that the club now possesses.

What do you think Reds, could Zion Atta be a potential player for Liverpool? Let us know in the comments below…
