Liverpool and Aston Villa are leading the race to sign Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica, according to reports.

The Kosovo international has had a solid campaign in the Bundesliga and has managed to score 10 goals and provide five assists in 24 appearances. This is an impressive turn of form due to the fact that Bremen sit 17th and in the relegation places in the league standings.

The Reds are keen to bolster their attack to reinforce their infamous trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

According to the Mirror, both Liverpool and Villa will have to pay big money for Rashica and his agent Altin Lana has said he will cost €38m (£35m). The Kosovan is an all-rounder as far as attacking is concerned. He can play on either wing, in the No. 10 and even as a lone striker (according to Whoscored), but predominantly plays out on the left where he has scored four goals and provided two assists.

Would Milot Rashica be a good addition for Liverpool?

Rashica has received lots of praise from various influential figures around German football. His teammate Theodor Gebre Selassie described him as one of the best players in the Bundesliga.

That’s a big statement to make, and it’s not like Germany’s top tier is a pushover league. There are some world-class players over there. His attacking potency has taken notice, with an average of three shots per game in the league and 1.6 key passes.

Rashica would be a good addition to our side, and would certainly keep Salah and Mane on their toes to keep their place in the side. Not only would it be a test for the African duo, but it would be a boost to our squad depth and would be a useful signing.
