Wolves v Liverpool: Starting XI Prediction

Liverpool travel to Wolves looking to improve on their awful form recently and their embarrasing performance in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

Here is how we think Jurgen Klopp will line up tonight:

Goalkeeper- Alisson Becker

Jurgen Klopp has already confirmed that Alisson is the designated FA Cup keeper and that Caoimhin Kelleher will only feature this season if the Brazilian picks up an injury.

Defence- Trent, Gomez, Konate, Tsimikas

Both Joel Matip and Andy Robertson will come out of the starting lineup, with Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas replacing them.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been one of Liverpool’s best players since returning from the World Cup, whilst Konate stays in simply because we don’t have enough centre-backs to rotate both.

Midfield- Milner, Keita, Elliott

After their shambolic performances at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp will rotate all three midfielders with Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson dropping to the bench.

James Milner will play at the base of the midfield, despite his age he can offer more energy and passion than we’ve seen of any of the other options in recent months.

On either side of Milner, Naby Keita and Harvey Elliott will be brought back in from the cold to try and win back his spot in the midfield.

Forwards- Jones, Gakpo, Salah

I believe Klopp might surprise a lot of people and go with Curtis Jones on the left-wing, like he did against Napoli in the Champions League before the World Cup break.

Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah will be forced to go again up front, mainly due to the injuries to Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been awful and Klopp really doesn’t seem to fancy Fabio Carvalho at the moment.

Bench- Kelleher, Matip, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Carvalho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nunez, Doak.
