It would be a step back in his career, but is it something that he may have to consider in order to save his career.

I’m talking of course about Harry Wilson. Forever on the periphery when it comes to his time at Anfield, a move away from the club seems like the sensible thing for him to make, although it’s not through a lack of trying.

And having failed to get a move away before deadline day, it looks as if there are only to options remaining for him and the club. Let him stay in the U23 side, or loan him out to the Championship. Following news that he hasn’t been included in the team’s Champions League squad, his exit looks set to get a step closer.

And according to journalist David Lynch, that latter option appears to be the way forward for the club:

Should Liverpool sell Harry Wilson?

Absolutely, let's make a profit

No, he still has more to offer

Whilst he’s been to The Championship before, having spent last season in the Premier League at AFC Bournemouth, it would be a step back in his career, but at this stage it’s the only option left because of the ‘domestic window’. As I’ve said before, the writing is more or less on the wall for him, so whilst I think he’s a good player, the sooner he is off our books and can get on his career the better.

So hopefully this loan can turn into something more permanent down the road, perhaps in the January window.

What about you? What do you make of this news regarding Wilson?
