Not over just yet.

That appeared to be opinion of journalist James Pearce on the subject of the recently departed Marko Grujic. Having left on a season-long loan for Portuguese side FC Porto, I wrote that I would have preferred to see him leave the club on a permanent deal.

Having been very much on the outside looking in for the majority of his time at Anfield, and with so many players ahead of him in the pecking order, some of whom very young, I would just rather see us invest the money on someone else.

But speaking on social media, journalist Pearce claimed that he felt like there could be a chance for him in the future after all:

Will Grujic leave Liverpool by this time next year?

Yes

Yes

No

No

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on that front, and if he can put in some world class performances for Porto this season then maybe it will give us and Klopp something to think about. But as things stand, I still put myself firmly in the camp that I’d rather use his value in the bank balance rather than on the pitch.

What about you? Do you think Grujic will play for Liverpool again in the future?
