The international break has been in full swing for almost a week now and plenty of action has already occurred for us to discuss, including the performances of Liverpool’s internationals who are currently on duty for their respective countries.

One of those includes the club’s £41million new boy Diogo Jota, with him continuing his fine form of this season so far whilst with his native Portugal, with him managing a brace on Saturday against Serbia in their second World Cup Qualifying game of the week to earn the country a draw.

Despite the game being clouded with further VAR judgment after what seemed a certain goal for Portugal was ruled out, this didn’t take away from the fine performance of Jota, with him continuing his goalscoring form of this season for club and country and once again proving to be one of the club’s best signings of the last few years…

It has been great to see Jota back on the field after picking up an injury back in December that saw him sidelined for almost three months, but since his return, he has shown us what we have been missing in the attack. Since returning from injury he has managed three goals and an assist over the last five games for club and country.

Was Diogo Jota Liverpool's best signing in the summer?

Yes

No

No

Jota has been a revelation for the club since joining in September and I don’t think many felt he would hit the ground running the way he has over the last few months but to the club’s delight, we have found ourselves an absolute gem that looks as though he just keeps getting better.

What do you think Liverpool fans, has Jota impressed you this season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
