As has been mentioned plenty of times already this week, there has been an abundance of rumours making their way through the media that Jurgen Klopp could leave the club come to the end of the season.
Former Liverpool midfielder and club legend Steven Gerrard has been asked whether he would take the Liverpool job at the end of the current campaign to which he quickly dismissed, saying that he and every other Liverpool fan want Klopp as manager of our club and he couldn’t be more right.

Not only this but after news broke yesterday that Germany National Team manager Joachin Low would leave his position after this year’s Euro tournament, Klopp was asked the dreaded question during his press conference before yesterday’s game against Leipzig – to which he responded saying he would honour his Liverpool contract as reported by The Times’ Paul Joyce, as cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter…

I think I can speak for most Liverpool fans when I say I’m happy to hear this news. It did seem almost too good to be true that the Germany job would come available at the end of Klopp’s worst season at Liverpool so far, but luckily for us, he is committed to the cause and clearly isn’t finished with trying to win trophies for the club.
In regards to Gerrard taking over at the club – I would love to see him manager Liverpool one day but at the moment I wouldn’t ask for any other manager to take charge of this club. Klopp has helped to transform Liverpool back into the title-challenging club they deserve to be and I don’t see this journey with the German ending just yet.
