The January transfer window may be in full flow but that hasn’t stopped rumours growing towards business plans for the summer ahead of next season’s competitions for clubs all over Europe.

Liverpool haven’t been far from their fair share of transfer rumours either, with them being linked to plenty of big names over the last few weeks ahead of January as well as this summer.

One of those names is PSG starlet Kylian Mbappe, with the 22-year-old easily one of the most exciting and talented players since Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – with him even being tipped as a future Ballon d’Or winner by Nicolas Anelka, with the fellow Frenchman labeling him as a ‘prototype’ of the perfect player to win the award.

Recent reports from Spanish publication AS suggest that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been keeping close contact with the young forward with hopes to sign him in the future, as a way of swaying fellow enquirers Real Madrid, who are also after Mbappe’s signature.

The recent appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager at PSG could harm the interest from Liverpool and other clubs with the Argentine likely to be pressured to tie the striker down on a new contract as part of the clubs long term plans – but with Klopp’s contact and our new Nike connection, as well as Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane stating that Los Blancos frontman Karim Benzema is the best French striker of all time, Liverpool could be in prime position.

Zidane’s omission of Benzema could harm their attempts of securing Mbappe’s signature, as I can’t imagine the youngster will be too comfortable sharing a dressing room with a player regarded better than him alongside the man that said it…
