According to an exclusive development courtesy of French news outlet le10sport, Liverpool are in a battle with both Man City and Man United and have ‘already positioned‘ themselves to make an approach – with Wolves valuing the player at around £75 million according to a past report.

Traore, who has started 22 league games under Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo this season, is reportedly enticing the Reds as well as our biggest league rivals as manager Jurgen Klopp potentially scours the market for an Xherdan Shaqiri replacement – especially since he has been touted with an Anfield exit.

Klopp has also been a huge admirer of Traore’s efforts in the past, describing the attacker’s tenure at Middlesborough as ‘exceptional‘ and conceding the fact that Wolves may have a star man on their hands – hailing his pace and dangerousness as key aspects of his game.

Should Liverpool sign Traore for £75m?

Yes, absolute beast, bring him to Anfield

No, far too expensive, Werner is a priority

Indeed, it appears that our manager has long held the 24-year-old in high esteem, and now le10sport claim that Liverpool are ready to battle it out to sign the player and are in ‘position’ along with City and United.

According to WhoScored, Traore amasses an impressive total of 5.2 completed dribbles per game in the Premier League, far more than any Liverpool player – including the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

The Spaniard also attracts more fouls than all of our squad members, potentially highlighting that he would be a great addition on Merseyside, but whether or not Fenway Sports Group and Michael Edwards are willing to pay £75m is a different matter entirely.
