Liverpool show interest in Danish forward

|

Liverpool is interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s forward Jesper Lindstrom. According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, the 22-year-old versatile player can play in an attacking midfield role all across the front three and is said to be a fan of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

He made a name for himself in the Bundesliga since moving from Denmark. He has 10 goal contributions this season and played in the World Cup in Qatar where he represented his nation, Denmark. However, whether the Reds will make a move needs to be clarified. This is because they recently acquired Cody Gakpo and have Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Roberto Firmino returning from injury soon.

Lindstrom is a Liverpool fan and has previously said he aspires to play for Klopp. However, they may face competition for his signature from Napoli. In an interview with TV 2’s Frstevaelger, he said, “I’ve always said that I’m a Liverpool fan, so it could be cool to play for Liverpool at some point.”

Lindstrom’s versatility in attacking positions would make him an asset for Liverpool. He can play across the front line, giving Klopp more options in terms of tactics and formations especially given that Liverpool has been finding it hard to find the back of the net this season. His performances in the Bundesliga have been impressive, especially his ability to create and score goals.

Despite the uncertainty, Lindstrom would be an exciting addition to the Liverpool squad. It will be interesting to see if the Reds make a move for him and whether they will be able to secure his signature or not.
