With the club set to invest further into the squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, it is likely that we will see fringe players throughout the current squad make their way out of the club to raise funds.

There have been reports that Liverpool’s trio of Xherdan Shaqiri, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and striker Divock Origi could leave in the summer so long as the right offers come the club’s way to secure their signatures, but the latter has been linked again recently with him almost certain to leave the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are open to offers for the 25-year-old striker to try and raise funds to rebuild their depth in the squad with better quality options to what we currently have – as plenty of the fringe players in the squad have had to be called upon for numerous reasons this season but haven’t stepped up to the mark.

Should Divock Origi be sold in the summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Origi has had some huge moments in a Liverpool shirt, most notably his goals against Barcelona in the semi-final of our Champions League-winning campaign as well as his goal in the final to help secure our sixth Champions League trophy.

Other moments such as his goal against Everton in the Merseyside derby after Jordan Pickford’s clanger have no doubt cemented his place in Liverpool folklore, but it seems as though his career at Anfield has reached the end of the road.

If the club were to get a sufficient fee for Origi to raise those funds needed to add to our attacking options then there is only one striker that I think the clubs should sign and that is Erling Haaland, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Reds for some time now.

What do you think Liverpool fans, will the club sell Origi in the summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
