The Reds return to Premier League action this evening with Nuno Espirito Santos’ Wolves making the journey to Anfield, which will see 2,000 fans in attendance at Anfield for the first time since March, which will no doubt gives Jurgen Klopp’s side a massive boost.

Klopp’s side currently sits joint-first in the Premier League table alongside Tottenham with 21 points – and are unbeaten in their last five games in the league with 3 wins and 2 draws.

They will face a Wolves side who are coming off the back of a 2-1 victory over Arsenal last weekend but will be without first-choice striker Raul Jimenez after his head collision with David Luiz which led to the Mexican forward suffering a fractured skull which required surgery. Luckily the 29-year-old is recovering well, so the Reds will face a different cuttle of fish up top against Wolves this evening.

We could see the return of both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita tonight with Klopp confirming their return to full training on Friday – which would be a huge boost for the Reds whose season has been plagued by injuries.

So, with all that being said, what can we expect from tonight’s game against Wolves?

Can the Reds beat Wolves?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Player to watch out for – Wolves, Pedro Neto

The Portuguese forward has been Wolves’ best performing forward this season in the Premier League, averaging a 7.22/10 WhoScored match rating. The 20-year-old has scored 3 goals with 2 assists so far this campaign and has been a fantastic attacking outlet for the club and will no doubt be the focal point with the absent Raul Jimenez.

I really like Neto as a player, he is quick and agile and certainly has an eye for goal – he has that sort of confidence that you love in a young player, he isn’t afraid to take on anyone and will try thing’s that may not always pull of, but the confidence and know-how to do so runs like ice through his veins like a young Cristiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool’s defence will have a job keeping him quiet, with the youngster already proving a handful for Premier League defenders this season so far.

Player to watch out for – Liverpool, Mo Salah

The Egyptian winger has been a revelation for the Reds since joining in 2017 but has experienced a bit of a goalscoring drought for the past few games. Salah started the season off to a flyer with 10 goals in his first 15 games in all competitions but has failed to convert over the last three games with his last goal coming against Manchester City.

Salah makes it very clear in-game when he isn’t happy with things going his way and that’s what you expect from a player of his ability – he is always gunning to get himself on the scoresheet and I think he will do so tonight.

Hopefully, the winger will get himself back on form against Nuno’s side and he will no doubt start for the Reds at Anfield. The return of the fans will be hoping to see something special from the Egyptian King on their return to the stands and I have no doubt he will deliver for them in style.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 4-0 Wolves

I can see the Reds recording a big win tonight, especially with the added factor of the fans in the stands. The Anfield atmosphere is something that has been talked about recently, with new boy Diogo Jota looking forward to feeling the ‘Anfield effect’ for the first time tonight.

With Mo Salah’s current drought and the Reds’ good form as of late, I can’t see the game ending any other way than a Liverpool win and I’m going for a big 4-0 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Expect goals from Salah and Jota if the pair start, as well as a big performance from 22-year-old goalkeeper CaoimhĂn Kelleher, who impressed against Ajax at the start of the week.
