After the recent news that up to 2,000 fans will be allowed back into stadiums depending on their area, football fans of clubs all over the country have been trying to get hold of a ticket to finally watch their club in action again.

The same goes for Liverpool, who will be able to house 2,000 fans on Sunday against Wolves at Anfield, with 1,500 being allocated to the Kop and 500 to the Main Stand – and one Liverpool player is more than excited for the return of the Reds faithful.

Diogo Jota was recently interviewed by Sky Sports and stated his excitement to finally get to experience the return of fans and the famous ‘Anfield effect’…

Jota has every reason to be excited – in my opinion, Anfield arguably has the best atmosphere of any stadium in the world, and with the fans finally, in attendance, I think it will make all the difference for the Reds.

Fans are often referred to as the ’12th man’, due to the impact and influence that the fans in the stands can have on the players on the pitch – when the fans are behind you, it gives the players this extra boos tin mentality as if they can beat anyone and that effect never goes a miss at Anfield.

Jota has been in great form this season with 9 goals in his first 15 games for the Reds, and there has been great debate over whether he or Robert Firmino should start up top for the club.

The great debate has wagered for some weeks now, with former Red Steve McManaman believing that Firmino is above the Portuguese forward in Jurgen Klopp’s ‘pecking order’. Either way, both players are world-class in my opinion and both deserve their time up front, especially with the return of fans this Sunday.

What do you think Liverpool fans, are you excited to get back to Anfield? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
