Following last night’s victory over Leicester City, some good news was confirmed by Jurgen Klopp to put an even bigger smile on the face of Liverpool fans everywhere – with Mo Salah finally returning a negative test.

Freelance Liverpool reporter and journalist David Lynch tweeted the news from Klopp, confirming the Egyptians return the training tomorrow after the news was received.

With the news of Salah’s return and the fact that if all goes well he could feature against Atalanta – it brings further great news for the Reds, with players finally starting to return to action after having up to seven of the first-team squad on the sidelines over the past week.

The £108 million rated forward is an invaluable asset for the Reds, having scored 104 goals with 42 assists in his Liverpool career from right-wing.

Is Mo Salah already a Liverpool legend?

Despite his absence, Liverpool’s front three still managed a great performance against the Foxes last night, with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino both getting on the score sheet – and Sadio Mané almost getting in on the act too. However, Salah’s return just adds another dimension to the Reds squad and gives a direct style of play and a pace to the game that is unmatched by any other player.

I hope that a couple of days of training before Wednesday will be enough for the Egyptian to get back up to match fitness, with Atalanta still remaining a difficult opponent despite the club’s 5-0 win over them in Italy at the end of October.
