Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has recently refused to rule out a move away from the club to Spanish giants such as Real Madrid or Barcelona, with him stating to AS that his future ‘is in the club’s hands’.

The £108 million rated winger has been one of the most important players not just to Liverpool but for the Premier League since he made his switch to Merseyside from AS Roma in 2017 for £37.8 million. Since joining the club, Salah has one a possible 2 out of 3 Premier League golden boots as well as breaking the record for the most goals scored in a single 38 game season.

Will Mane, Salah or Firmino leave Liverpool this summer?

Despite his success individually as well as with the club winning the Premier League and Champions League over the past few seasons, the Egyptian failed to rule out a move away from the club during his interview with AS, stating that Real Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs and that you never know what is going to happen in the future.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was quick to play down any rumours created by the Salah interview after the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, which saw the Reds cruise out 7-0 winners with Salah netting 2 goals and an assist after coming on in the 57th minute.

The German put his response very bluntly, stating that he had nothing to say about the AS interview and that everything was fine from his side – and I also think that this is what Salah was pointing towards in the interview.

The 28-year-old simply stated that the decision was in the club’s hands, meaning that he isn’t trying to move away from the club or make his way to one of the two Spanish giants and I think it has largely been taken out of context.
