Fenway Sports Group have been great owners of Liverpool football club. They found the club in the dumps, came, settled the ship, and turned Liverpool back into the giants of yesteryear.

Over the last decade, they have made significant strategic decisions to help Liverpool come out of the dark. Yes, they made their fair share of mistakes, but overall, they have been great owners who did as much as possible and did what they did right!

FSG stabilized Liverpool football club, which was on the brink of disaster. They sacked Brendan Rodgers and brought in Jurgen Klopp. They worked on expanding Anfield and making it an even more problematic place for opponents. In addition to that, they built a new state-of-the-art training ground. They did whatever was needed to ensure that Liverpool won every trophy. However, they did help put the club back on the world map.

One of the major complaints from fans was the amount of net spend. And that is a problem that FSG can’t fix, meaning they might have just about reached their potential and converted Liverpool into one of the most attractive investment opportunities.

There are four buyers lined up who are interested in Liverpool Football Club.

When we talk about the sale, FSG could sell either a minority stake or the whole club. But if you ask me, it makes sense for them to sell a minority stake in the club, maintain absolute control, and get a healthy investment return. They then can put some of the capital generated back into the club to help fund a few significant signings that will help Liverpool cement themselves at the top. In addition to that, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) president, Mike Gordon has stepped back from his current duties and responsibilities at Liverpool.

This is undoubtedly a critical juncture in the future of Liverpool Football Club. What do you think is going to happen? Do let us know in the comments section below.

I am really passionate when it comes to football, especially Liverpool Football Club. Apart from this, I indulge in long hours of conversation with my friends (about football), drink (watching football), and sleep (dreaming about football). Other than that, I work with a 360-degree digital marketing agency as the lead SEO Content Strategist.
