Ramsdale believes fans disrespect this Liverpool player

|

Aaron Ramsdale, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, says Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is underappreciated by England fans and Liverpool fans for the role he plays in both teams, England and Liverpool, both on and off the pitch.

Henderson appeared in all but one of the Three Lions’ World Cup matches in Qatar, scoring in the team’s round-of-16 victory over Senegal. However, at the club level, some supporters believe the 32-year-old has remained an unsung hero in the Reds’ team since his arrival over a decade ago.

This is because whatever he does is usually the donkey’s work and does not have as much flair and finesse as Kevin De Bruyne or Thiago. However, the role he plays, little can play the way he does.

It is often forgotten that he has won every trophy that there is to win at the club level, something only a few captains can boast about.

Explaining his confusion regarding the criticism Henderson receives on The Fellas podcast, Ramsdale said, “He gets so disrespected because he doesn’t play all the nice stuff. He runs like 12 kilometers a game, the way he talks to people on the pitch. The things he does do, he’ll play an unbelievable pass or cross, but it won’t get talked about because he’s probably just done it once in the game. He’s properly underrated at England by the fans, not by the players. They love him.”
