La Liga club Real Sociedad could make a swoop for Liverpool’s Divock Origi in the summer as a replacement for their Swedish striker Alexander Isak, who is likely to leave the Spanish club in the summer according to El Gol Digital.

Belgium striker Origi has been linked with a move away from the club for some time now and it was revealed on Tuesday that the club will more than likely allow him to leave at the end of the season – which leads to suspicions of the club signing a new striker themselves in the summer.

According to El Gol, one of the main reasons for Sociedad being interested is due to the profile that Origi has managed to build during his time at the club despite being out-of-favour for the most part to Roberto Firmino. Origi has enjoyed some stellar moments in a Reds shirt including the two goals against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, as well as his goal in the final against Tottenham.

Should Liverpool keep Origi?

This shows clearly that Origi has talent in abundance and could easily become the talisman at another club but sadly for him, that club isn’t Liverpool.

Sociedad will face competition from the likes of Aston Villa, Wolves, and Newcastle as all three clubs have shown prior interest but I would expect Origi to opt for a move abroad as a fresh challenge after playing in the Premier League for over five years now with the Reds.

It will be sad to see Origi leave the club if he does in the summer given all the iconic moments and the things he has won at the club – but every player has their time at the club and Origi will more than certainly be remembered for years to come.
