Following Liverpool’s cruise-control victory over Atalanta last night, which saw the club sit pretty at the top of Group D with three wins from three – the reaction over social media has been unbelievably positive.

One statement, in particular, has got people talking, and that is of Liverpool reporter DaveOCKOP, who stated that he feels Jota, Salah, and Mane are the club’s most dangerous trio at the moment upfront.

The reaction overall has been positive, with Liverpool looking back to playing their best football – but one comment from the journalist has surprised me given the club’s misfortunes in defence this season.

The Reds are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League after their opening three games, which comes as a surprise given that Virgil van Dijk is yet to play a game in the competition for the club due to his season-ending injury against Everton.

A makeshift defence of Joe Gomez and, quite frankly, whoever has been fit at the time has often been the choice the past few weeks, with Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams both performing incredibly well against West Ham and Atalanta respectively.

Overall it was a positive performance from the side, especially the front three who were involved in all five goals during the game.

What are your thoughts Liverpool fans, what did you make of last night’s performance? Let us know in the comments section below!
