Liverpool have struggled this season with injuries as many of us know, but for the shoe to be on the other foot and instead of us suffering at the hands of the medical table, our soon-to-be opponents have instead found themselves in that position.

At the end of the current international break, the Reds face off against Arsenal before a tough trip to Spain to face Real Madrid in their first leg of the Champions League quarter-final’s and the La Liga giants have been dealt a huge injury blow ahead of the fixture on the 6th April.

German midfielder Toni Kroos has withdrawn from international duty with him suffering a persistent adductor issue, which could see him sidelined for the first leg and beyond which will no doubt provide a huge boost for Liverpool and the players with an individual such as Kross out injured for the game, as reported by LiverpoolEcho and cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter…

Kroos is one of the best midfielders in the world in my opinion and for Real to not have him at their disposal for this first game is a huge plus for Jurgen Klopp and his squad especially in regards to the midfield battle.

The German has played a huge role for Real since moving to the Spanish club from Bayern Munich back in 2014, helping them to numerous trophies throughout some of the most dominant periods in the club’s history.

Can Liverpool beat Real Madrid in the quarter-finals?

Yes

Yes

No

No

I do think that Liverpool have a great chance against Real in both of these games coming our way but the absence of Kroos just gives even more confidence for the players and the fans alike.

What do you think Liverpool fans, will Real miss Kroos? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
