The winter transfer window is just days away and the Reds have been heavily involved in numerous rumours surrounding players joining the club as well as a few departing – with £14m rated striker Divock Origi one of those names reported to be leaving the club this January.

One of the more solid sounding rumours surrounded a possible swap deal between German club Schalke 04 and the Reds with Origi leaving for the Bundesliga with highly-rated young defender Ozan Kabak making his way to Merseyside.

The deal would see an end to the Belgium strikers 5 and a half year career at the Reds with him creating some great memories for Liverpool fans with that infamous header against Everton in our 1-0 victory at the end of 2018, as well as his brace against Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League during the same season and his goal in the final that helped the Reds lift their seventh Champions League title.

Hints towards his departure, however, have been fueled by Origi himself, with the forward removing any mention of the club on his social media and deleting all of his previous tweets and unfollowing everyone on Twitter – leading many Liverpool fans to believe he is going to be leaving the club this winter.

As reported by many media outlets including the Liverpool Echo, this could be the big hint that we will see Origi leave the club or that he is simply reducing his social media presence. Either way, there is still plenty of chatter about him leaving the club.

He had also been linked with a move to Wolves, with the midlands club looking for cover after the injury sustained to first-choice striker Raul Jimenez a few weeks back against Arsenal.
